Delivery Information MLT

We suggest that before you order from The Mainland Trader you read our Shipping & Returns information carefully.


Delivery Information - Lets Keep It Simple

We always contact customers by telephone to confirm their order and delivery instructions and payment before we despatch orders.
Orders placed during weekends or public holiday(s) will be processed the following business day.


Delivery Instruction

Please tell us in the 'add comments about your order' box under delivery method where you would like your delivery placed if you are not home  when the courier calls.

(ie; on the front door step).

If we do not give the courier a delivery instruction they will take the delivery back to their depot.


Shipping Options


We use Courier Post's overnight delivery service. Courier Post's target delivery is next working day, business deliveries by 12 noon, residential deliveries by 5pm. Online track & trace available. 

We also use Big Chill Distribution for the larger 20kg+ orders.(The delivery destination for the customer to collect there delivery must be a food service or retailer drop off point for Big Chill)

If your address does not fall within an overnight delivery destination we can arrange to have your shipment sent to a Nz Post Shop where you can pick it up. 

International shipping is not available.

Cancel An Order

The Mainland Trader pride ourselves on our quick shipment of in stock products, same day order processing means that most domestic orders placed before 3pm central time Monday through Thursday usually leave our warehouse the same business day!
If your package has not been shipped yet, you can contact us to cancel.


Delivery Costs for Returns and Exchanges

If goods are faulty we will meet our obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act to provide a remedy.
We will take care of any delivery costs to do with the exchange of goods, including return delivery to the customer.


Pre- Season And Early Orders Welcome Any Time

Please secure your whitebait with a pre- season or earlyorder. In the event of a bad season we will supply customers on a first infirst served basis. Early orders are also beneficial for customers as we canput your order aside for a later delivery and it is guaranteed that you willnot miss out. (please type pre-season or early order in the"add comments about your order" box). If your pre-order and circumstances change we will understand.
